Refund payment process error [closed]

I cancelled my visa appointment because I made a mistake in my application and after speaking with UK visa and immigration I was suggested to cancel my appointment and I opted to ask for a refund. When I went to refund request and typed my reason, it allowed me to process further. It took me to a grey cell, which is the payment date, showing the current date, and didn't allow me to edit it. Can someone please tell me what I should do? I have already cancelled my appointment.

What happens if a refund goes to a closed account?

Refund is issued to a closed bank account: If your customer's bank account is closed, the funds will stay in a limbo, waiting to be paid at the bank level. Your customer must contact their issuing bank to arrange an alternative method to receive funds via check, cash, etc.

Why would a refund fail?

A refund can fail if the customer's bank or card issuer has been unable to process it correctly (for example, a closed bank account or a problem with the card).

Can a refund go back to a closed card?

Refunds must go back to the card used for the original transaction. You cannot refund to a different credit card. Rarely, a closed account is no longer active and the credit card company cannot accept merchant refunds. In this case, the transaction may be bounced back in the form of a positive chargeback.

What happens when a refund is processed to a Cancelled card?

The refund will be redirected to the bank account linked to the card. This might be possible for debit cards but could be a bit tricky with credit cards as you don't always have a bank account linked to it. Or, the bank would decline the refund and send it back to the issuer.
