Applying for settlement in the UK while holding a Discretionary leave (DL) visa after being refused an asylum [closed]

Applying for settlement in the UK while holding a Discretionary leave (DL) visa after being refused an asylum [closed] - A Person Applying Sunscreen on a Young Girl's Arm

I am writing this on behalf of my family and myself. My mum, sister and I visited the UK in 2011 and due to unforeseen circumstances could not return back to our home country. We were then left with no choice but to apply for asylum fearing for our safety. After several refusals by the Home Office we were granted a Discretionary Leave to Remain on July 2017. Our visa is due to expire at the end of 2019 and we are looking to apply for settlement as we have been in the UK since 2012 and have deep roots.

My question is, has anyone applied for a settlement visa/status by having the (DL) visa and what the process is? I also would like to know if anyone knows if the chances of applying for an extension of stay and getting accepted would be higher than applying for a ILR or settlement status.

I personally am looking to settle as I have done my GCSE's, A Levels and obtained my university degree in the UK. I am also working in Finance and a soon to be a Private Banker. I have met incredible people in the U.K and have deep connections with many friends and a soon to be fiancé.

Thanks!

Can I apply for ILR after 3 years discretionary leave?

You can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) upon completion of 6 years under the Discretionary Leave (initial 3 years + 3 years extension).

Is discretionary leave same as leave to remain?

The period of leave granted may not be same in all the cases and will vary depending on your specific circumstances. However, in general, discretionary leave is granted for 30 Months after 9 July 2012, leading to Indefinite Leave to Remain in 10 years.

How long does discretionary leave last?

Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) - 10 Years Route From July 2012, discretionary leave to remain is usually granted for 30 months under the 10 years route to settlement which means the applicant can apply for ILR after completing 10 years under the discretionary leave to remain.

How do I renew my discretionary leave to remain?

Use form FLR(DL) if you are already in the UK, to apply online to extend your stay or indefinite leave to remain if you were refused asylum but given 'discretionary leave outside the rules' to stay in the UK for a limited period of time. You should check your eligibility before you apply.
